Ten Processes Behind Ten Objects

TEN SMALL ATLASES is a collection, in the heart of the Ventura Lambrate Zone in Milano, that represents the experience of the IN Residence project to the general public.

The idea is to export to Milan, during the days of the International Furniture Show, the idea that created in Turin a series of workshops dedicated to contemporary design at the Du Parc Residence.

With the intention to highlight the dialogue and process concepts and with the wish to match them to the story of each experience, Barbara Brondi e Marco Rainò, exhibition curators, would like to create a collection assigning areas to 10 IN Residence designers to give the same visibility;

Every space is the final result of a voyage through time that goes from the idea concept to the production of the object chosen for the exhibition.

Every space is the place where a collection of all the elements are shown that influenced, inspired, compelled and encouraged the designer during the design of their exhibited work.

Every space collects thoughts, analysed in detail or shown in a summary, with relevance only to the project chosen for this event.

Every space is a physical location where a process is witnessed.

TEN SMALL ATLASES è una mostra collettiva, ospitata in uno dei nuovi spazi espositivi nel cuore di Zona Ventura Lambrate a Milano,  che intende presentare al grande pubblico l’esperienza del progetto IN Residence.

L’idea è di esportare a Milano nei giorni del Salone Internazionale del Mobile, il pensiero forte che ha permesso di realizzare a Torino un programma di workshop dedicati al design contemporaneo nella sede del Du Parc Residence.

Con l’intenzione di dare risalto ai concetti di dialogo e processo e nella volontà di coniugarli ad una componente di racconto delle singole esperienze, Barbara Brondi e Marco Rainò, curatori della mostra, intendono realizzare una collettiva assegnando a dieci designer protagonisti dell’esperienza IN Residence altrettanti spazi di visibilità;

Ogni spazio è la risultante definitiva di un viaggio nel tempo che va dal concepimento dell’idea alla realizzazione dell’oggetto selezionato per essere esposto.

Ogni spazio è il luogo dove collezionare e mettere in mostra gli elementi che hanno influenzato, ispirato, costretto e favorito il designer nella progettazione del lavoro in mostra.

Ogni spazio raccoglie pensieri, analizzati in dettaglio o esposti in maniera sommaria, relativi unicamente al progetto scelto per questo evento.

Ogni spazio è il luogo fisico dove si testimonia un processo.
